about

Inspired by watching a documentary on the production of Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams, I stripped this song back to using only a handful of simple synths (saw patch, Juno style bass, a pad and piano) coupled with classic Linndrum samples to produce a simple, hooky groove.

Channelling my inner Duran Duran/Pet Shop Boys, the lyrics center around a theme of denying the end of a relationship and going back for more even when you know you shouldn't.

Thanks for listening! đź–¤

lyrics

Join me in the bedroom, so I can see you for myself
Take off my shirt and let's go, it's time for a night to remember

I should have said this was gonna be the last time

And I'll take all I need, so keep out of harms way just for me

I should have said this was gonna be the last time

But I got caught up in the heat of the moment
I never meant to break your heart
I got caught up in the heat of the moment
I never meant to break your, never meant to break your heart

Get under my skin, hold me close and pull me in
Can you feel my heart? Can you feel my soul?
Can you feel anything at all?

I should have said this was gonna be the last time we'll be together
I should have said this was gonna be the last time, gonna be the last time

But I got caught up in the heat of the moment
I never meant to break your heart
I got caught up in the heat of the moment
I never meant to break your, never meant to break your heart
